Program Notes 1 -- Animation & Documentary

Animation & Documentary

Screening Separately on the Festival Screening Page:

Animation is always a favorite for entering the 3MinuteFilmFestival. This season we have nine Official Selections.

Documentaries have always been a challenge for brevity and hence for entries to the 3MinuteFilmFestival. This Season we have two Official Selections, yet the Festival has added one more from a winner of the 2020 Film Festival. It seemed important for the environment, and a good example of a winning movie short.

An animated parody of a fast food training video for aliens set in the 80's, with deadly tasks to defeat the monster in the fridge.

Monica Lagrange.

I was born and raised in Venezuela, until I moved to the U.S. with my mom and sister when I was 12 years old. Ever since then, I've been creating art, looking to tell stories via animation that are both fun and heartwarming.

Animated movies helped me on my journey of learning English as a second language when I moved countries. Visual storytelling is a universal language, which I have learned has the power to reach others beyond language barriers. I decided to work in animation because I want to share this gift with other people.k in animation because I want to share this gift with other people.
