Animation is always a favorite for entering the 3MinuteFilmFestival. This season we have nine Official Selections.
Documentaries have always been a challenge for brevity and hence for entries to the 3MinuteFilmFestival. This Season we have two Official Selections, yet the Festival has added one more from a winner of the 2020 Film Festival. It seemed important for the environment, and a good example of a winning movie short.

George Maestri is a Los Angeles based director, writer, animator and producer with experience at studios such as Nickelodeon, Warner Bros, Disney, Film Roman, and Comedy Central, on series such as 'Rocko's Modern Life' and "South Park.". He has written a number of books on animation and has taught animation at Cal Arts and Otis College of Art, as well as online at Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning.

A machine comes to life in a 3D animation short inspired by Charlie Chaplin.
Richard Thompson is a 3D artist/generalist, associate professor, and coordinator of digital design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He has over 35 years of creative and collaborative arts industry experience on award-winning projects. The last two decades have been focused specifically on bringing virtual characters to life, visual storytelling through animation, environmental narrative, and optimized immersive game world design. He was awarded an Excellence in Teaching Award.
In industry, he has worked on the History Channel to multi-EMMY Award-winning TV series, and in modeling, texturing, and rendering television commercials and product visualizations.

In the 19th century, a rice merchant encounters a mother who tries to buy rice in exchange for her own child's clothes. The merchant becomes Monk Seishin and relieves the islanders of Miyajima from poverty by digging wells and starting the wooden ladle industry.

born in Tokyo in 1989. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Intermedia Art in 2015. In 2017, he completed the animation major at the same school. In 2020 he entered the doctoral program at the same graduate school.

I was born and raised in Venezuela, until I moved to the U.S. with my mom and sister when I was 12 years old. Ever since then, I've been creating art, looking to tell stories via animation that are both fun and heartwarming.
Animated movies helped me on my journey of learning English as a second language when I moved countries. Visual storytelling is a universal language, which I have learned has the power to reach others beyond language barriers. Fabron and Blademar - two swordsmiths - find that their kingdom is under attack by a mighty beast. Blademar challenges Fabron in seeing who can craft the better sword, and the two begin to create their desired weapon. Blademar makes an array of big, long, and crafty swords, while Fabron takes his time making one small delicate sword. As Fabron nears the end of making his sword, Blademar claims that it isn’t enough, they must be bigger!

The Architecture Doctor explores the work of visionary Viennese painter, ecologist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and his practice of healing buildings by introducing color, greenery and organic forms. His work in the final decades of the twentieth century appears where you would least expect it, from industrial incinerators to hospital wards, and from Austria to California.
Daniel Goldblum, is a Los Angeles-based bassoonist and filmmaker, creating live score films, documentaries, experimental films, and silent film scores. His films draw from his time living abroad in Austria and Lithuania, and from the search for new forms. As co-artistic director of Five Skins Interdisciplinary, he specializes in live productions that combine film and music, as well as movement and free improvisation. He's created live scores for silent films for the Wende Museum of the Cold War and the American Cinematheque, and his original films have screened at the NYC Independent Film Festival and the Sound of Silent Film Festival Chicago.

My aim to do this project to show the beauty of the underwater world and to make people understand we have to reserve it for our future.

have made feature film pre-production, production, post-production services, advertisements, documentaries, short films, video journals, photography, videography projects even underwater, in the air, in various locations over 10 countries, and in different languages for over a decade.
